A ν − gap Factsheet – with Applications to Model Validation
نویسنده
چکیده
Typical measures for closed loop systems are so-called gaps between two systems, classically either L2 or H2 gap. Here, the distance between to candidate models for a plant can be measured taking all possible combinations of bounded input and output signals into account. Rather recently, a variant of theses gaps, the ν − gap, gained interest in the “identification for control” community. This report states the basic technicalities of this framework along with a motivation, why a new gap is useful. Moreover, the possibilities of examining models set, arising from an identification experiment, in terms of this metric are discussed. Some simple examples are given to illustrate the framework.

Design and Validation of a Conceptual Model for Narrowing the Gap between Intended, Implemented, and Attained Curricula in the Public Education System in Iran
Abstract: The present research aimed at developing and validating a conceptual model for narrowing the gap between intended, implemented, and attained curricula in the public education system in Iran. Two fundamental questions guided this investigation: what model can be developed to reduce the gap between the three mentioned curricula? To what extent does the proposed model gain the approval? ...

The development of NIRS calibration model as a rapid, precise, robust, and cost-effective method to estimate oil content in ground seeds of worldwide safflower germplasm collection grown under different agro-climatic conditions was the key objective of this research project. The oil content was measured by accelerated solvent extraction method in a total of 328 samples collected across 2004 (16...
متن کاملDefinition of General Operator Space and The s-gap Metric for Measuring Robust Stability of Control Systems with Nonlinear Dynamics
In the recent decades, metrics have been introduced as mathematical tools to determine the robust stability of the closed loop control systems. However, the metrics drawback is their limited applications in the closed loop control systems with nonlinear dynamics. As a solution in the literature, applying the metric theories to the linearized models is suggested. In this paper, we show that usin...

Background Patient information may assist in promoting shared decision-making, however it is imperative that the information presented is comprehensible and acceptable to the target audience. Objective This study sought to explore the acceptability and comprehensibility of the ' Medicines in Scotland: What's the right treatment for you?' factsheet to the general public. Methods Qualitative ...
